Youth volunteer responsibilities
Assist with organized educational, recreation, or creative activities, including but not limited to: recreation, music, teaching/aides sessions, Ubuntu
circles, setting up classrooms, cleaning up materials, and other activities and classes.
Work cooperatively
Work cooperatively with facilitators, participants, staff and instructors.
Professional Judgment
Exercise mature and professional judgment in assuming responsibility for and working with other youth
Follow Directions
Follow direction from the Tekqubes Leader who is supervising/directing the program.
Positive Attitude
Perform various duties while maintaining a positive attitude.
Submit Paperwork
Complete and submit to Tekqubes all required and completed paperwork (volunteer application and references).
Follow guidelines
Follow all guidelines and policies.

First preference will be available to our Tekqubes alumni to take on leadership positions in the Holiday program classroom. - Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with other staff in handling a variety of situation.
- Possess the desire and ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Possess a flexible and adaptable attitude with a good sense of humor, understanding, and enjoyment of people.
A per holiday program stipend, will be provided to all youth volunteers that complete the 2 week ( 10 days) program as part a way of providing a
real world experience.
We ask our volunteers to commit to a minimum of 4 hours if that will be assisting in the classroom. Only youth volunteers who work for the full
two weeks (10 days) of the holiday program will be eligible for a holiday program stipend.
Applicants will receive a final decision notification if they have been selected to work as a volunteer at Tekqubes. Due to the number of applicants,
we cannot give individualized feedback on applications.
